The only motive behind homosexuals being allowed to adopt children is to legitamize homosexual relationships and sex. No one in their right mind can actually believe that a gay "family" is superior to a household with a mother and a father for the purpose of raising children. Yet, we have the lives of children being treated like sets of dice - and we are allowing homosexuals to adopt children when there are heterosexual couples willing and able to adopt - just so we can satisfy the selfish desires of the gay agenda to be seen as legitamate. It is pathetic.
No, what's pathetic is your continued ignorance and stubbornness on this topic. Do you really think gay couples give a CRAP whether or not their relationship is "validated" by some conservative in Alabama (for example)? Or that they'd adopt and raise a child for the sole purpose of being accepted by Joe-Bob and his wife Betty?
Furthermore, I'd like to see the waiting list of straight couples willing to adopt older, non-white children, some with AIDS or born addictions - guess what, it doesn't exist! And yet you would rather have them rot away in foster care or a group home, or die alone in a hospital, rather than allowing a stable & loving gay couple to adopt them? Pathetic and cruel.
I don't think "straight" people understand this! This isn't just about "Civil Unions" alone and the "legal" protections it will afford.
This is about self validation and being equal with the rest of Society. Gays and straights have been to Weddings, Funerals, Bar Mitzahs, "Sweet Sixteens, birthdays, and every other type of celebrations!
So a Wedding is more than just a "piece of paper"! It's a "Custom" and a "Celebration" that has been part of our lives.
Let Gay people get married & want to be in a serious relationship and I can promise you the best Wedding reception and food ever!
