He isn't going to win - so no need to ask hypothetical questions.
I'll bookmark this post for November... when we'll hopefully be celebrating OBAMA'S win.
I know you're skeptical of polls, but since Bideshi couldn't produce any daily polls when I asked: RealClearPolitics - Latest Polls
Seems the results are slightly different from source to source, but overall it looks like Obama is still ahead, and generally by wider margins than Romney. It also looks like his supporters haven't waned much (if at all) with today's announcement, so that contradicts what some of you are claiming. What will you say if he does win? And don't say "that isn't going to happen," because we all know that's still a very strong possibility - or at least that nobody can yet say for sure.

Next year - we will be talking about President Romney.
P.S. I also noticed from those numbers that Paul seems to be more of a threat, so if you guys were smart you'd be backing him instead of Romney. Independents (like myself) and moderates are more likely to back Paul, so you'd probably have a better chance of winning... I'd even consider voting for him, if not for a couple of key issues on which we disagree.
Doubtful. He's just lost a lot of votes, including Democrats.
LOL...The only votes he could have lost would be from the anti gay bigots, who wouldn't have voted for him anyway....Realistically if anything he has gained many votes...
As marriage laws are a matter of state control, Obama's position will not affect them in any way - it is still a matter of how each state handles the issue.
As far a DOMA goes, it is the law of the land, and Obama has no choice but to see that it continues as is, unless Congress votes to rescind it.
Nothing has changed since the day before yesterday, so getting your shorts in a knot over Obama's announcement is ridiculous.
As for "Ellen" and her opinions, I find her as obnoxious as Rush Limbaugh, and I'd only tune in if they were mud wrasslin' with each other in prime time.
Right, anybody who thinks a presidential candidate pandering voting blocs during election time is an idiot...
No no no...he's honest and sincere...really he is. Seriously though, it's very interesting watching this level of herp derp pseudo-naivete. They actually believe these changes are real changes of heart. One guy on this thread even was all giddy thinking that Obama was an atheist and really just posed as a Christian. I guess we just need to respect Obama and when he feels the need to "come out of the closet" on his religious beliefs.
Recent polls show blacks accept same-sex marriage at the same percentage as the rest of the country.
I think such polling is notoriously unreliable. The only polling that counts comes from the voting booth. And when the bluest of blue states, California, got a chance to vote on same-sex marriage they blew it out of the water--with blacks opposing it strongly. Now, whether they will stay home or vote for the white candidate against a half-black candidate remains to be seen. Many blacks oppose abortion, too, but that doesn't stop them from voting overwhelmingly for pro-abortion Democrats.
