Sppt on. While the world breathes a long sigh of relief that McCain/Palin are long gone, and that the war criminals before Obama/Biden have faded into obscurity (with disgust they remain free men) the world rightfully hoped for more. What the world, along with thinking people in the U.S. need to remember, is the Presidency still is powerless to take on the military industrial complex (receives bi partisan slavish support) and that Pres. Obama also has to deal with the smoking wreckage left by the neocons, as well as an entire political party practicing obstructionism to policies that will help the nation recover.

Of course the rest of the world loves him, he's a liberal. The Russians and Chinese really love him, because they can pull his strings. Remember when he told the Russians "things will be different after the election" and then the Russians replied "yes we understand comrade." they know republicans don't f•#* around.

I guess it's true what they say about Obama bashers, the two worst things about them is their face.

Exactly - then why post an article that says

- that Europeans still like Obama better than any GOP candidate

-and points out that the only reason they have a more somber impression of Obama is because they lack an understanding of limitations of his power

under the heading "Obama is considered a failure around the world?"

It seems to me that the article argues no such thing. It does say that he didn't live up to the higher expectations they had. I'd say that falls in line with being "disappointed" but hardly qualifies as "failure."

I love how a OBAMA "hater" twists the title of the article around!

Obama's Presidency a disappointment

So he's a dissapointment because he isn't bailing out the EU from their financial mess? I thought you 'haters" would be happy about that!
I find it hilarious that the right wingers are now concerned with what the rest of the world thinks about President Obama!

Good catch. Their hatred for Obama fogs their thoughts so thickly they can't spot their own contradictions.

They refuse to tell the truth about where all of those 800 thousand millions of dollars actually went - Overseas!!

The only understaning of the limits of Obama's power is obama he understand he has to act like a diktator and shred the constitution and eliminate congress for his communist czars that do his bidding.

It's nice to see you care - for you carelessly forget to admit the simple truth.

I will reduce the debt to 1/2 in my first term!! He doubled it further proving that EVERYTHING this administration utters is always the exact opposite of what he claims - We have been watching this "clown" for 3 1/2 years. Its plain to see - but you just refuse to even admit it!

Thank you for always telling the truth. And i have no reason for lying no gain, not trying to impress either.
I know more hard working good Americans who have lost their home, and a job under this administration. Due to Obama's vision of Change. The people i know who have lost their homes and a job, do not like this vision of Change.
Not one thing sincerely better since he has taken office, everything is worse off. He has doubled our debt.
Look around, do you honestly think businesses close down, in a good ecnomy, please. No profit no gains, stores close.

Okay, I get that, but what is it about his policies have caused the problems that your friends their misfortune. Is Obama supposed to change the terms of their mortgages? Is Obama supposed to go back and undo the trillions of dollars worth of lost in everyone's investor portfolios? You know he and the democrats have been arguing for tighter regulation of banks, which probably would have prevented the kind of rogue trading that resulted in a $2 billion dollar surprise loss for JP Morgan just this past week - but the big banks that own Washington and the republican party are fighting it tooth and nail.

I get people had high expectations for this president. I did, too. I'm disappointed that we haven't made more progress than we have already. I think it was a mistake politically for Obama to spend so much time and energy on the healthcare debate; it was an example of Obama being well-intended but a bit naive, politically. But overall, I'll still take him without hesitation over a guy who basically boasts about his time as a private equity group investor whose job is essentially to cut jobs in order to make executives profit in spite of their poor decision making.

Furthermore, I think there's a lot to point to in terms of accomplishments. We *do* have 2 years of solid jobs growth. We do have stock market gains. We do have economic stability. It's unfortunately not enough to convince a lot of people that we're better off because the economic effects of the 2008 crash and credit freeze were so widespread and so deep that the impact was inevitably deep and recovery was inevitably going to be a long process all along.

It's easy to be upset and to assume that the guy in charge right now is at fault and that making a change will be better. Don't assume that. Think about the kind of people you're considering putting back into power. You're going to vote in the same sort of people who voted for a war that wasted trillions of dollars; who have enacted policies that threaten the financial solvency of medicare; and who generally favor economic growth and profits over financial stability and employment. If you're a Wall Street banker or a Fortune 500 CEO or an aspiring executive, well, then I get why you'd vote for that -- it's in your interests to do so. But if you're basically like most of us and just want a decent place to work, grow old, and retire, then voting for republicans is voting against your own interests, and the interests of everyone else. And you won't realize that until it's too late.
