Actually it's just called science progressing as it always does. The article wasn't a condemnation of biofuels, although it does call ethanol into question, which of course means global warming isn't real and there's no need to do anything about it, and also that Al Gore is an evil lying scoundrel for not predicting scientific discoveries before they were made (maybe he is, I don't know...).
What apocalypse-now-climatologists don't say is that CO2 buildup and other things have been happening for millions of years. At one time the entire planet was covered by ice up to a mile in depth. We are far from being as warm as we have been in the past. The only reason why people care now is 1) We actually can measure it 2) People on the coast will have to move 3) People hate change.
The earth regulates itself. Higher oceans means more surface area to absorb heat.
Supporting things cause they are "Green" is not the best imo. Ethanol and renewable energy is good from a national intrest stand point of keeping money out of the middle east.
The reality is we have NO clue what is going to happen.
Al was in Australia last week giving a conference demanding political action and the signing of Kyoto by Australia, all the while he continues to say he's not being political. I'd like to stop talking about Gore, but problem is he keeps popping up in the news saying something retarded and getting hailed as some planet saving guru. The carbon trading schemes are failing miserably at reaching goals in Europe, but somehow Australia and America are still supposed to hop aboard, although Gore wasn't so gung ho about America signing up when him and Clinton were in office.
I guess PETA will have a problem with Gore now, along with other global-warming activists. Looking at him, I doubt that Algore has ever passed up a good steak and since cow burps increase climate change, he'll be pressured to stop eating meat to help reduce the need for cows. What is a man to do?
Wow. Millions being spent on cow burp and fart research. Simply amazing.
