Whether marriage was created by religion or not doesn't really matter.
All legal adults should be able to marry who they want in a free country. Not all marriages are religious in nature. Marriage is a legal contract.
Deny it all you wish. Marriage was created by religion and is the reason there is so much backlash about allowing freaks of nature to be considered a breeding couple, under the eyes of GOD, to create the next generation of life.
It really doesn't matter since marriage is a fundamental right.
