not very!
On who's standards? Are we talking logical or biblical? Is this based on a bigoted point of view, an ignorant point of view, or is it from a view of education, logic, and understanding?

Cause if it's from an educated, logical, and understanding point of view, I would take them very seriously. If we had a Gay president... that would be awesome.

But, sadly... the bigoted, ignorant and religious nut jobs out there would grab their guns and be looking for blood. The so called religion of peace known as Christianity would be in an general uproar and demand they step down.

But, this scenario of yours requires one thing to be done first, you have to vote for a homosexual president and legalize same-sex marriage. If you are willing to do this, then I can revisit your scenario. Are you saying you want to legalize same-sex marriage and vote for a homosexual president? Can he be a black homosexual atheist while we're at it? Would you vote for a black or even a Hispanic homosexual atheist?

Assuming the country (who voted for him) knew he was gay prior to his taking office, this probably wouldn't be a big deal. And who are you speaking for, exactly? Would I take them seriously? Of course. Would you? Maybe not. But if you considered him to be a good leader before their child was born, why would this change anything? Obviously there are plenty of people who take gay parenting seriously, considering how many gay parents exist already - along with their friends, family, and acquaintances. Guess you think they don't have loved ones, and don't hold professional jobs or something.

What an odd question... fairly unlike scenario, for one thing, not to mention completely off topic & random. You must be running out of arguments, LOL.

Not likely!

Funny how some people will DEMAND scientific proof, and reject even the most reliable of sources provided... but when it comes to the Bible, a little faith is all they need? They'll believe stories like Noah's Ark as fact, while evolution and genetic predispositions are simply "unproven theories." LMAO.

let's assume that no-one knew before he was elected.

What would the reaction be , and would this leader be able to negotiate successfully with foreign govts.?

Why do you assume that it would only be Christians that would object to this?

haven't you been watching the news recently - and seen the mass support of the Chick-n-fil restaurant chain.

This shows that there is a very large silent majority that has had enough of this gay marriage debacle - enough is enough.

Most people support the idea of a traditional/natural family.

No, I do not wish to vote for legalizing s.s marriage.

No, I would not vote for a homosexual president.

Which of course means that you might not actually get the person who is best for the job.

how could a homosexual president be best for the job - how could he deal with countries in the Middle East for example?

It seems as though promiscuity and short-term relationships are far more common in the homosexual world.

so why do we want to encourage marriage in this case, when it is likely that divorce rates or separations will be more common?

Just like for a Heterosexual, those that are partner hopping are NOT those that would be getting married, why is this so difficult for you to grasp?
