If Obama wins the election and becomes a lame duck president, what specific dangers are our rights as individuals to keep and bear arms in? While I don't believe we are in any immediate dangers of losing our right or having our arms confiscated, exactly how much damage could he really do? I don't believe that he alone, as a president, can do anything, and a lot of it depends on the direction the rest of the electon goes as in the majority in the House and senate. I realize a lot of people do fall for that kind of hype, propagated generally by backers of the GOP. Could I be wrong? As a strong supporter of the second amendment, what specifically should I know about Obama before I cast my vote, and why is it that so many supporters of the 2A oppose him with such vigor?

The same things you'd want to know about any other candidate. Damn, he's been in office for close to 4 years. You haven't figured it out yet?

An executive order as he has done with the dream act ( partial allowing it)...

The president wants to write history so I don't trust him at all!

The 2nd Amendment will stand, your guns will still be yours, and life will go on. Take your meds and relax.

This is a repost from 2008, what rights of yours were taken away since the last election.

Before Obama was president these immature boys who refuse to grow up weren`t allowed to play with their guns in our National Parks as they are now...but the fear mongering goes on.

Obama has a better record on guns then George W. Bush does since taking Presidential office.

I think the 2nd amendment will be just fine.

The difference of course is he no longer has any concerns about reelection. A 2nd term President has a lot of freedom to do what they want.

Yes it will stand but the common tactic is to back door these restrictions, e.g. ban lead bullets through the EPA which was already attempted by "environmentalists".
