Well, if you're a Christian, aren't you kinda supposed to spread the word?

Not in the manner Evangelicals/Fundies go about doing so no.

Yes, it is their job to do so. But spreading the word is a bit different than forcing you beliefs on everyone around you.

Just how have Christian beliefs been "forced" on to you?

"It must be tough to be an atheist in America"

Actually it is pretty cool. I can sleep late on Sundays complete avoid the Malls at Christmas, Don't have to put on a suit for Easter or rise at an hour that I would only rise at for a fish.

Being an atheist is actually pretty cool.

America is a Christian country and all atheists know that and should respect it.

Our holidays, culture, calendar, certain laws, 99% of presidents, etc. are Christian based.

If 99% of our presidents are "Christian based" that means that 1% is not. There have been 44 POTUS''s and 1% of 44 = .44.

I'm curious as to which president was a little less than half non Christian-based.

And the Christian holidays are based on?

Almost every culture has a mid winter holiday/party/orgy/blowout because almost all the resulting babies will be born near the harvest in September when their will be plenty of food for the nursing mothers. Easter is a second try with the same results.
