For some reason you think that "tolerance" means that when you post your little story on a public discussion board nobody is allowed to disagree with you. Sorry, it doesn't work that way.

Fine, be a Catholic and don't believe in birth control. (Although I would point out that something like 95% of your fellow Catholics use it, no matter what they say they believe in.) Still, it's none of your business what the rest of us do.

How is it that two out of the only three people I have ever personally known in my life (all 53 years of it) to have had abortions are Catholic? And both snuck out of state to have their legal abortions. And this from a family where the grandparents had adopted their three children, so they were aware of the option of having their unwanted babies adopted.

So get off your high and mighty Catholic perch there.

And there are currently over SEVEN BILLION human beings on earth right now, so stop thinking that every human egg, sperm and embryo is something rare and precious.

And if your god thinks that each human being is so precious and more important that any other life form on this planet, then why did he tell Noah to save a pair of each creature in his ark and then god went ahead and drowned all the rest of the humans in that flood?

And BTW, those two Catholic abortions were unwanted pregnancies due to teenaged sex... so clearly your Catholic solution of abstinence is not working.

AND... both these women are happy years later with full lives and no lost sleep over their aborted embryos. And their Catholic families are all expecting to see them up in heaven later on.

I know that about 5 or 6 of them were there for abortions because the part of our group that was there for counseling asked them, and they answered yes. The rest i don't know.

Yep. That's what it was. What a very mature reply.

hahaha thanks for the laugh.

We oppose birth control because it encourages sex before marriage, and we, as Catholics, believe in abstinence, which, if you think about it, is birth control. And it's 100% effective.
I pray that someday you will understand that your actions were the epitome of intolerance and hiding behind your religion makes you no better than those who burned people as witches during the Inquisition.

abortion is NOT a good form of birth control, and can have health complications. people have actually DIED having abortions, but that seems to get glossed over by the pro abortion crowd.

maybe it is a good idea for some people to remind people that abortion shouldn't be considered a method of birth control, especially when you have the morning after pill-which the profiteers don't seem to be pointing out too much.

education is, and always will be, the answer to the problem.

as a society, we need to get to the place where women make better choices than abortion-and pushing abortion doesn't help us get there.

All of the above, and PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, would go a long way. Great post!

As I have said before, I learned how to do self breast exams during a reproductive health appointment at PP which SAVED MY LIFE when I discovered a lump in my underarm.

OP - Why do you hate people with cancer and cancer prevention?

This post above bears repeating. These groups of people who hang around Planned Parenthood are some of the most repugnant on the face of the earth. If that's what they call being 'good Christians' then it's no wonder the churches are dying out. The OP says SHE wasn't one of the ones asking women going inside if they were there for an abortion like that somehow should makes her less of a target for disgust. But she was there to support those so-called counselors who were doing the shouting. She was there to give the so-called counselors a sense of safety in numbers. She was there to pass judgement on women using the services of Planned Parenthood. The only separation from what they were doing and what she was doing is in her very naive mind. Like the poster I quoted, it was preying. It was intimidation. It an temptation at attention getting from the media. If it was JUST about prayer, they could have done it back at their place of worship.

Another post that bears repeating.......

There were about 30-40 of us all together. At this PP there are "pro-choice escorts" (they actually where shirts that say this) and some of them were nice and some of them tried to intimidate us. As we were praying a nice jogger lady flipped us off, a young black man yelled some obscene things to us, people

I counted 9 individual women and 3 groups of women that went in that day. Every time one would walk by I swallowed tears and bile and looked each woman in the eye, silently pleading for her to stop what she was doing. One woman as she walked by spat on us and 3 others called us names, giving the "escorts" a little chuckle.

Thanks for reading.
Since you are obviously Christian, I would like to give you advice from your bible.

1) Put the best construction on everything.
2) Pray in private not as a show
3) Take the plank out of your eye before trying to remove a speck from the eye of someone else.

Then why are you deciding to pray there? What does praying there accomplish that you can't get done back home or in church?

I can tell you what: It aggressively confronts and tries to intimidate. There is absolutely no other reason for you to be there. Just like you said: You try to stare every woman who walks past you into the eyes! Why? To connect to their soul? Or to hope to intimidate them?

Did you know that the Catholic church used aggression and intimidation in its darkest hour? When the church had been led off the path of the light and onto a path of darkness? That is where you are.

You have been led so far off the path that you don't even recognize the path of the light any longer. You believe you are righteous and yet, you follow a path of darkness.

Your approach to this issue is so aggressive and intimidating that patients and staff of PP need escorts/body-guards. Not because of me, not because of other, normal people, but because of people like you! Is that the Christian way? I don't think so.

Do you know why you feel attacked by so many members on this forum (and while at PP)? It is because what you are doing is wrong and inappropriate.

I hope that you can pray to God, Jesus, or the Saints to lead you back to the path of light.

Matthew 6:5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.
