It hasn't worked yet they continue to pay the money each year.
Here is your waste. They lay off teachers yet continue funding programs that do not work.

The goal is not better performing schools, the goal is and has always been "indoctrination". It ain't a conspiracy theroy folks. Marxism, Socialism, Communism, whatever you want to term it topped off with a bit of Alinskyism is alive and well.

Listening to a radio talk show here in Toronto...and I am getting tired of those that think kids that are not their kids should be indoctrinated...if my kids were young...and thank God the are grown...I don't want them having their views "broadened" or have them educated about anal sex..or about all religions and atheism....You should have heard how aggressive the talk show host was...I have been listening to him for years and noticed that he finally has admitted to himself that he can not get along with woman- and now he pushes the gay agenda like it's going out of style...If he has problems adjusting in the world...let him keep his problems to himself...indoctrination is not education- It is the theft of children...If your kids were cattle- the cattle rustlers are trying to convince us that stealing cows is legal...

"Verenice Gutierrez picks up on the subtle language of racism every day. Take the peanut butter sandwich, a seemingly innocent example a teacher used in a lesson last school year.
“What about Somali or Hispanic students, who might not eat sandwiches?†says Gutierrez, principal at Harvey Scott K-8 School, a diverse school of 500 students in Northeast Portland’s Cully neighborhood.
“Another way would be to say: ‘Americans eat peanut butter and jelly, do you have anything like that?’ Let them tell you. Maybe they eat torta. Or pita.â€
Guitierrez, along with all of Portland Public Schools’ principals, will start the new school year off this week by drilling in on the language of “Courageous Conversations,†the district-wide equity training being implemented in every building in phases during the past few years.
Through intensive staff trainings, frequent staff meetings, classroom observations and other initiatives, the premise is that if educators can understand their own “white privilege,†then they can change their teaching practices to boost minority students’ performance."

Uh; that Guttierez person IS "white" but don't want to face it. Unless a kid is allergic to peanut butter; I don't see feeding PJ sandwiches to kids is bad at all. This is the US; deal with it or leave. Sheesh!

I think they should MAKE them say the Pledge Of Allegiance every morning just like I had to. If they don't/won't do it, and in English, throw their asses out.

Portland is like a giant liberal magnet sucking north from California. With any luck, in ten years California will at least be a shade of red. Maybe not raspberry jelly red but at least a grape jelly purple.

It will go great with my PB sandwich.
