Is THAT your contention?

If so...I could link to MSNBC saying the same thing. Not even THEY are willing to stand behind this report!

US Labor Dept officials indicate decline in initial jobless claims was due to a technicality & likely a temporary issue. And, yes, one large state didn't report some quarterly figures.

Result: BS jobless claims report released because Obama is tanking in the polls.

Exactly! We have had 43 months in a row with over 8% unemployment, we created fewer jobs in 2012, that at this point in 2011, we had 1.3% GDP growth last quarter - then - suddenly - out of the freaking blue, we have a 29 year high jobs gain increase, with no other supporting data, just in time for the presidential election.

Technicality? No, while incompetence and government employee does go hand in hand you don't exclude something like this based upon a technicality. It's another case of the government being so totally out of touch with the real world that they could actually believe people wouldn't see through this.

What makes even less sense is things like this are hurting rather than helping the administration.

Amazing isn't it? We know that the Obama administration receives these jobs numbers ahead of the public, so he knew about them before the debate, and yet, he never brought them up during a debate on the economy. Truly amazing.

Perhaps you could get some facts for your rant? Who knows, it may work like Aspirin.
