12-Year-Old Girl Shoots Intruder During Home Invasion - NewsOn6.com - Tulsa, OK - News, Weather, Video and Sports - KOTV.com |

My liberal friend said that the girl used excessive force. Maybe she should have tried to hold his hand and sing Kumbaya.

I'm glad she was able to defend herself and if the story is accurate it's certainly no where near excessive force.

That said you hate to hear stories like this, this incident will stick with the young girl forever. Thankfully the intruder didn't die and I only say that because it would be very traumatic for the young girl.

If Obama had his way the girl would have had to defend herself with silly putty.

your liberal friend is a kook.. (as most of them are)

Definition of excessive force: Level of force unreasonable or unwarranted under the circumstances.

And Oklahoma has had the Castle Law in effect since last year.. She clearly did what she was allowed to do.

Castle doctrine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Which makes me ask, why does a 12 year old know more about the law than your libeal friend? Answer, they usually do..

Yes, the odds that she would have been savagely raped and murdered were only 1 in 3.

Here's a real simple explanation that even your libbie friend should understand:

If you don't want to be shot don't break into someone's house.

I agree completely. The girl did what she had to and it is fortunate she does not have to carry the burden of knowing she had killed someone.

Agreed. The girl having to shoot someone is certainly nothing to celebrate about. Kudos to her parents for teaching her how to safely use a fire arm.

Curious, how some people manage to find this situation normal.

Next time this girl may shoot a neighbour, whose yorkshire "assaulted" her...
