Well the "the appearance of impropriety" was several years long according to people who worked around him. Of course those are unnamed sources...

So the General decided to go ahead and come out to either try and be with his mistress or to reconcile his relationship with his wife.

What are the reasons for Geithner, Clinton and Panetta wanting to step down?
Mrs. Clinton said she wants to do "life stuff." I suspect that will include resting up for another presidential bid. No idea about the other two, but if I had to guess, less work, bigger paychecks.

don't tell me how to think? I'll say what I want about the woman....

and she was conniving....she is just as much to blame as he is....both of them are equally wrong

It is in kindness and lifting people up, encouragement, connecting with each other positively, that we help each other grow as human beings and make the world a better place to live in. Nobody benefits from ridicule. Nobody can grow from insults. People deserve praise and encouragement and honest, caring support. I've spent more hours of my time trying to help people learn not to insult each other than I care to admit. Self-appointed egotistical critics be damned. When they attack me, I just laugh, but others aren't as strong. They get hurt! All the egotists do is put others down in order to inflate their own egos. Check your egos at the door. Oh, and I wish people would quit laughing at people who are different than they are! I hate that! It's cliquish, rude, and immature. Rant over.

Ok...the manipulation idea I thought of earlier today has been also recognized by many others.. This would be the going guess and would fit things together. Looks like they will subpoena and get the whole story. I don't think a real exploration is possible without getting this testimony. The interesting thing is how un-sophisticated and straight forward the clues can be connected in this investigation.

Here is another question: did CIA Director David Petraeus play role in excluding FOX from the CIA briefing on Benghazi two weeks ago? « Gretawire

Hillary is next.

She already got tossed under the bus once - why would she want to work for a terrible boss who has no sense of responsibility, any longer?

Bunk. Questioning the motivation and behavior of 'the woman' makes complete sense and would be irresponsible to not question a woman who has an affair with the head of the CIA.

Petraeus is the one in the highly sensitive position, so the 'blame' is his. That's all that separates this from a run-of-the-mill affair.

Default Petreaus update- guess Paula went all "Fatal Attraction" on his ass!

According to big mouths in the FBI (), the case started several weeks ago, when an "unidentified female"who has an undisclosed relationship with Petraeus () went to the FBI to report receiving threatening emails from Broadwell.

When the FBI realized Broadwell had obtained the victim's email account by accessing Petraeus' gmail, they became alarmed and launched an investigation.

The investigation uncovered email evidence that Broadwell and Petraeus had had an affair. Broadwell apparently felt that the other female was a "threat to their relationship", so she got the victim's email off Petraeus' address book, and began her threats:

FBI probe of Petraeus triggered by e-mail threats from biographer, officials say - The Washington Post

The thing that is interesting is, who is the victim female? It CAN'T Be Polly Petraeus, right, because why would Broadwell consider Polly a "threat to their relationship"? And why would Polly go to the FBI?

Know what it looks like to me? Like the General had dumped Paula for another girlfriend! Paula found out, and decided to use her sleuthing skills to track the tramp down!!!

Boy, I've said it before, and I'll say it again- Republicans have the most fun!!!

(And, sorry Wingers- still no connection with Benghazi )
