You said "good". You said "good". Theres more to that reaction then you think they were trying to get away.

How do you PROVE that someone shoplifted?

How do you PROVE that someone stole from you?

A camera showing someone stuffing items into their purse is suggestive, but they can SAY they took the items out and left them on shelves elsewhere in the store. The surveillance isn't 100%. To convict, you need EVIDENCE---like the merchandise, for instance. They knew they'd been spotted. If they left, you think they would have held on to the EVIDENCE of their crime?

Especially with kids in it. The so called mother is obviously a desperate idiot. But I wonder why he didn't try and aim for the tires

That would not have got enough points.

OMG...OMG....Yea, I said it....so what...

I don't know what their intentions were....however, if someone is standing in my door, I would never put my car in reverse....but someone who knew they were going to jail would...

Oh yea, that is what hasa happened...

And she should have known the risks and the potential consequences of her continued criminal behavior! Here's a thought! STOP F***N' STEALING!!!!

Shoot the tires? Really? and if you miss shooting the tires, where does the bullet go? Don't watch Starsky and Hutch reruns.. They will give you a false sense of the capabilities of LE.

I served on a Grand Jury some years ago. Once a month for about nine months.
We heard all different types of cases; drug possession, shoplifting, etc.

Several times there were shoplifting cases. In fact one was shoplifting from a Walmart. The store had surveillance cameras and caught the person quite nicely. There was enough evidence for the Grand Jury to indict her.

There was no need for this person to die.
The 'cop' totally over-reacted.
There are other ways of handling shoplifting.
