Somebody is trying to make tax evasion a moral imperative of sorts, would be my guess.

If you want to bring about change- change yourself- one person at a time..eventually in time millions will have changed and the revolution will be over.

Those who lust for violent revolution are those who simply want to kill for sport and they are motivated by hate. Look at all of the revolutions in the last 200 years...They were all bloodbaths. People running about killing anyone they envied. I mentioned earlier that democracy is socialism...with a ruling class..You get rid of that ruling class and another ruling class steps in- Look at old Russia..they killed their intelligent ruling class and replaced it with peasant hooligans who rule by force and threat.

If there was a successful violent revolution in America a new class of rulers would emerge...they would be worse than the last and twice as ruthless- No- violence never leads to a better life.
You're conflating civil disobedience with violence and insurrection. If this is a language issue then it is perhaps understandable.

I, too, abhor violence, but human history has proved that it is sometimes necessary (WW II being a good example.) I see no reason to consider violence vis à vis the current administration. The differences between the two are gargantuan.

The Founders demand it. If I was a governor, I would set up NONE of the constructs "mandated" by Obama-care, for example.

Does anyone remember, or even care, that the States set up the Constitution and the Fed. Government for the benefit of the STATES and of the PEOPLE, and that the states and people do NOT exist for the benefit of the Fed. Government, or the ruling class???

As I've heard before - Biden is the "gift that keeps on giving".

As useless as the man is, the only quote I remember (aside from the lipstick comment by Palin) from the 2008 campaign was a quote from Biden:

"Don't tell me what your bottom line is. Show me your budget and I'LL tell you what your bottom line is"

That line (from Biden of all people) really stuck with me.

But apparently not teachers.

I notice that you use the ellipsis incorrectly as the OP does, and you have similar views, based on your posting histories. Interesting.

Seems to me the OP has learned a new word, the meaning of which he/she is unfamiliar. It'll be worn-out soon, given the frequency it appears in that persons commentaries.

The belief that President Obama is a Socialist and/or is seeking to transform the USA and its government to a Socialist state is a belief resulting from ignorance. It's one of the 'tin foil hat' tirades.

I consulted several dictionaries to check on the definitions for Socialism, and here's what I found, pretty much as the universal definition:

Quote:
Socialism

1. any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

2. a system of society or group living in which there is no private property

3. a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state.

4. a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalizm and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done.
So, enlighten us ... tin foil hat brigade ... which of the above quoted material has the President and the United States Government undertaken on a scale which would qualify as Socialism?

Correct. He wasn't targeting a person, unlike y'all. So, your analogy was still born.

Anyone who thinks Obama is a socialist is an idiot. It's really that simple. There's no point in debating any issues with anyone who starts out thinking Obama is a socialist. It's pointless. You're better off talking to an empty chair.

I'd like to think I would but honestly probably not. I don't think it would actually work, so I think it would be risking life and liberty in a futile gesture. Certainly I'd protest it but no I don't think I'd actually break the law to prove a point.
