What I've noticed is the preponderance of bellicose, sandbox posturing on these boards reveals nothing but the ego tripping of some kiddies in their mom's basements with their collection of weapons in the corner that; when acosted by mom hollering down the stairwell admonishing them over their excessive usage of the computer modem while she is trying to play on-line bridge, merely retreat back to their X-Box and another hour of "Battle of Honour" with nary a whimper.
I would surmise; if Homeland Security and other agencies suspension of your civil liberties and other rights as referred to by continuous mention of your much vaunted constitution and as glorified with "land of the free and home of the brave" hasn't gotten your panties all in a twist and resulted in you standing up; anything "socialist" coming down the pike tomorrow won't either.
Seems to me the OP has learned a new word, the meaning of which he/she is unfamiliar. It'll be worn-out soon, given the frequency it appears in that persons commentaries.
The belief that President Obama is a Socialist and/or is seeking to transform the USA and its government to a Socialist state is a belief resulting from ignorance. It's one of the 'tin foil hat' tirades.
I consulted several dictionaries to check on the definitions for Socialism, and here's what I found, pretty much as the universal definition:
So, enlighten us ... tin foil hat brigade ... which of the above quoted material has the President and the United States Government undertaken on a scale which would qualify as Socialism?

No, it really isn't that simple. The idea that Obama is a socialist has gone mainstream enough to be taken seriously whether you agree with it or not. Someone who is a member of the KKK you can dismiss as a crackpot not worth considering. No problem there. But when millions of people hold a belief you should take it seriously whether or not you agree with it simply out of a desire for the good of the country. It's not healthy for the nation to dismiss out of hand the sincerely held beliefs of millions no matter what those beliefs are. You risk a massive backlash by not doing so. You can safely ignore a couple thousand people on the fringe. You cannot safely ignore millions of people.
