I haven't met conservative YET that likes Obama. Hell...I know some old school liberals who even hate him.

Have you taken a look at the level of violence on behalf of liberalism lately?

Contrary to other opponents of Mr. XXX there is nothing within his posts that even hints at insurrection, violent actions. Civil disobedience is a long cherished form of protest against any person or group and the question need not even be asked because the people of this country have and will conduct acts of civil disobedience in protest against policies of the government. So the question, should Americans restort to civil disobedience, by all means. Have at it. Go with my blessing. But you might want to consider hiring Jessie Jackson or the women from code Pink to show you how it is done.

I asked this earlier in the thread, civil disobedience to what end and what is your plan? What is your grievance, that the people elected someone that you don't like? That's called democracy.

MLK organized peaceful and legal disobedience against racial segregation. That is concrete policy.

At the time, buses were segregated -- blacks had to sit in the back and give up their seat to a white person. Moreover, public areas, such as restaurants, were also segregated.

What MLK did was organize a boycott of the buses and restaurants that were segregated. Since many of the bus customers were black, this hit them in the pocketbook. The same for the restaurants; it gave those restaurants a financial disincentive to adhere to the racist policies.

So what specifically is the OP protesting, except a vague notion of an "Obama destructive socialist path?" What is the OP proposing as an action plan? He doesn't say.

No, I will not resort to any disobedience. The US has been already shaken too much in recent years. That's what elections are for: at 2014 mid-terms, congress can be changed. Two years later - another presidential election. Its like the weather - if you don't like it, just wait a little.

Obama is not a socialist. He is a slightly right-of-center moderate.
