I think we do need to ban guns. I'm sorry but there are just too many idiots in this world that cannot handle gun ownership. I'm so sorry for the little innocent kids that lost their lives today.
What about the criminals who carry illegal guns? Once we ban all guns who's going to take their guns off the street? Seems like police haven't been able to do that too well.
Good point. A good start would perhaps be to identify some of the ways mental health issues are typically addressed in suburban communities and what environmental dynamics serve to exacerbate mental health problems in these communities. I believe there is an unhealthy assumption that privileged, well-to-do communities automatically produce stable families and stable people. Despite exhibiting numerous red flags and warnings to the contrary, some are simply written off as "different" but harmless all the same.
Indeed. How preposterous to think that simulating the killing of human beings thousands of times will render some children indifferent to the suffering of others. Preposterous! It's all about the parents!
Ryan's not a suspect and has been released according to CNN.com.
Anyway, I fully support the sarcastic response I am quoting above.
BTW living in the US is scary. I am actually a little scared tonight. It is because there are so many guns...but there are too many for gun control to be effective. It is also not smart for the military and the police to be the only people w/ firearms.
Mexico isn't irrelavant -- certainly not with others comparing us with nations "across the pond" as we're not across the pond, we're here located right next to nations with much higher levels of homicide than we have.
Not to mention the cartels that could supply guns as easily as they supply drugs.
"Right next to nations" You used the plural to indicate Mexico and who else?

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You think you can kill 26 people with a knife just as easy as you can with a gun? Please.
Actually, yes, yes you can. 1) knives don't go BANG, so you can slit a great many throats without making a sound that would alert anyone. 2) there have been a great many mass murders using knives and swords. Thousands of years worth, and low and behold .... it happened again, just yesterday. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1731760.html
Teenager kills 8 and wounds 5 with a knife.
So, do you ever try to think about what you are saying, so that you might STOP YOURSELF? When accusing others of stupid ... one should really double check to make sure they don't wind up with a lot of stupid egg on their own face.
