The supposed marches into oblivion of both parties has been bantered back and forth for decades, so this is nothing new; just another bunch of hot air and nothing more.

Given the hugely unpopular fiasco-in-the-making ObamaCare bill, and the fact that Obama received a whopping 51% of the popular vote (definitely not a ringing endorsement, huh?), the GOP is not in serious trouble, and especially once the multiple impacts of ObamaCare and its 15+ new taxes sends the economy down the tubes.

Democrats have undoubtedly guaranteed themselves that they'll get 100% of the blame for foisting this bound-to-fail monstrosity on all of us given their contempt for those of us who aren't environmental zealots, trial lawyers and civil service unions, the three best job-killing entities in existence, alongside our tax code, and the FDA and the EPA and.....

Yeah, that George H.W. Bush was a environmental zealot.

At least one republican recognized the need for human beings to breathe clean air.

I just love this excuse!

No matter how bad the results of liberal tinkering with the economy, the consistent failures are always the fault of the Republicans who opposed the ill advised tinkering.

Using your logic, Bush inherited an economy in sever decline and only by following Bush's economic policies was a sever depression avoided in 2002.

We only have to look at the relative stability of the Bush economy to see how well the Bush policies countered the sever recession that didn't happen.

In fact, had Bush not inherited such a bad economy, GDP would have doubled.

See how stupid that sounds?

"If nothing was done after his presidency ended, nothing at all, we all would have been led into a deep depression."

We have had a number of recessions and they always end with a strong rebound, except when liberals try to fix things the way they did in the 1930s and again in 2009.

Here's a hint: you can't stimulate a fundamentally broken economy since doing more of what already doesn't work just makes everyone involved less wealthy and you can't stimulate an economy with borrowed money because deficit spending devaluates the currency.

OK Professor, explain the specific policies and/or actions of Bush that caused our economic decline....
