It makes me laugh that Liberals and Democrats don't care about everyone else paying higher taxes then scream when they don't get a tip.
Where does it say this server was a liberal/democrat? I must have missed that part.
P.S. If "everyone else" is paying higher taxes, so is that WORKING individual in the restaurant. I live in California too, but don't yet know if/how much my taxes are going up (actually get my first paycheck of 2013 in about 50 minutes). I am getting a raise in April, though, which should more than compensate for any slight tax increase.
I love how when hardworking Americans are dissatisfied with the president, they like to take it out on young, hardworking women making about $22,000 a year.

If you're so principled, and you're willing to stiff someone to make your point, don't be a coward and a lowlife and take it out on the lowest person on the totem pole. Stiffing a server is weak. Only a punk would do that.
If you really wanna make a splash based on your principles, do it big and refuse to pay the tab PERIOD! Stiff the owner if you've got some real guts. But targeting a lowly server is cowardly.

What does that have to do with anything? Apparently you don't know anyone who worked as a waiter/waitress. People have put themselves through college working as waitstaff. Many single parents put food on the table for their children working as waitstaff. Many waitstaff support familes!!!!
Obviously you have never been to proper restaurants where there is table service and the dinnerware is not plastic or paper. You complain about people (apparently only democrats) living off the government and now you are complaining about people (apparently only democrats) who are waiters/waitresses who you seem to think are overpaid in their salary and they have the nerve to expect a tip?
I have a tip for you: stay away from restaurants where they provide service to their customers and where a "tip" is the "norm".
tipping is a great avenue for ego-puffing, and that's what it's all about.
