Yeah, i love this stuff too! A "Totalitarian State" and "The Santa Claus Party"... too funny, and I'll say one thing, these guys have great writers (...LOL)!! Well, as long as they keep this up, it looks like we're kind of a shoe-in for both 2014 and 2016!!

Global warming is real, how much of it is man made is debatable. But that is off topic.

Well come right in here and dispute that the gvt is not involved in most every area of our lives, tell us how they are not involved in farming? housing? death? the food we eat? come in and tell us where your freedom has been protected. Can they listen to your phone calls and read your Emails? can they search your house even when you are not home with out warrant? can they arrest you and hold you in detention for long periods of time with out charges?

Come in here in share your vast wisdom with us on why it is not possible for democracy to turn into tyranny lead by one party? Instead of just doing a drive by and saying nothing and cheer leading for your pathetic party. You should be ecstatic that my conclusion that the socialist Santa lead by the left will win control because austerity and belt tightening is unpopular by the electorate. And it does not matter what it does to our debt or the value of our currency or the effect on the economy.

I hate to use this example and in no way am I comparing our country to Greece, but what was the peoples reaction when they were forced into austerity? And forced they were by outside countries and the IMF to get the loans needed to keep the country running. Who is going to force the U S?, no one. And what would happen if the {R}s were successful in making huge cuts in SS, Medicare, Medicaid, and section 8 housing? They would be kicked out of congress in droves and the left will hold onto power for a long period of time.

I am not living in fear nor do I let it consume me, why would I stress over something I can not change? I just live my life as happy and the best I can. Like I said our country is on a run away train and there is nothing we can do to stop it. Be in good cheer your party will be the engineer driving the train.

I think you'll find the UK has been 'democratic' a lot longer than the US. Though one could argue the only true democracy is Switzerland.

Except for his caution that they'll "risk losing the House in 2014", I agree. I do think and believe that they will be guaranteed to lose the HO-House[1] in 2014.

And that simple fact will forecast for us the new era Obozo has been working so diligently for and about which I've opined to the point of preaching it. A totalitarian state of one-party control. The formalization of the full and complete morphing of the once Democratic Party, that became the democratic party and in the LBJ 60s made the full transformation to the demonRATic party, that seduced a generation of people, by racial identity, to sell their souls and collective vote to them in perpetuity.

That national political disgrace that was a joining of hands of BOTH white and black politicians to w**** for the vote of a generationally seduced entire race of people dwarfs the "slavery" shame of this nation and except for rare public recognition of same since that time that REAL HISTORY passes by unnoticed. I lived through the inception of Grandpa Lyndon's Not-So-Great-Society and have demeaned and called it that consistently ever since. That singular tool of "social engineering" that set up future generations of agendas identified as "white guilt" and "affirmative action" and "political correctness" and more may well be the precursor to the death of this once great republic.

NOTE
[1}Previously, in different and better times, the House of Representatives was the "peoples' House". No more. Now it is merely just another "HO-House".

You republicans live in a fantasy world, that is filled with lies.

When Reagan lowered billionaires taxes, this created deficits, and these deficits grew our national debt.

But Clinton raised taxes on billionaires, and this created surpluses, and Clinton was paying down our national debt.

But then GW Bush lowered billionaires taxes again, and Clinton's surpluses turned into deficits, and this grew our national debt again.
Then Bush came out with his "weapons of mass deception" and attacked Iraq for nothing, and spent $1 trillion dollars doing it.

Obama is paying for Bush's Iraq war, but more importantly Bush's (largest) tax cuts for billionaires, kicked in while Obama was in office.

Any 14 year old child should be able to see, that Reagan and GW Bush created all of our financial problems.
But your lying CEO leaders at Fox news and Rush radio, tell you other wise.

The CEO's at Fox news and Rush radio tell you republicans 100's of lies,
Like tax cuts increase government revenues.
Global warming is not happening.
Large corporations pay too much money in taxes.
The rich pay too much money in taxes.
And the democrats are the big spenders.

You republicans claim to admire honesty, while Fox news and Rush radio tell you 100's of lies.
And you republicans claim to know finances, while you have created this countries national debt.

We are on the road to a one party political system- in effect, a totalitarian state. The dependent population has been conditioned and culled to receive free benefits in exchange for votes. The seeds of insurrection are being sewn such activities and will not last for long. The US is destined to "Balkanize", as the disparity in political beliefs, once relatively minor, have come to the decision between dependency and wanton spending, vs liberty and fiscal control. These two ideologies are polar extremes which cannot co-exist.

Amazingly the past of work camps, vagrant laws, company towns, slave plantations, segregation, etc., etc. appears as a beacon of freedom and self-reliance to some.

If the right wing nuts knew little bit of something about history they would know that it's George Washington who instituted the first policies that lead to the corporate state of today. It's George the Great who imposed the paradigm "You must sell in order to live" on largely self-reliant frontier populace. This lead to incessant wealth accumulation and drying up of opportunities for (semi) independence.

A planet could also crash into Earth killing us all. I could also win the next Powerball jackpot. We could have another New Madrid earthquake.

All more likely than your premise, none of which I'll plan for. I'll stick with the likely, not the absurd.
