The country now has a very negative view of Republicans, which they brought on themselves. Obama was voted in by the country, and I'm glad. It's up to Republicans to adapt to what the country wants, not the other way around. The ball is in their nasty, ugly court.
I hate to burst your bubble but, the dems don't fare to well either with in 1 pol, CBS/NY Times, l they have a 30% approval and a 60% disapproval.
Here is a list of many polls and the only ones where the dems have higher approval is from very left sites.

Having your political philosophy or attempted legislations driven by your religion is absolutely antithetical to what conservativism actually is.

God gave us a free will. He doesn't play a role in our daily lives as to what happens to us or what actions we take. He doesn't control lifes or deaths. Democrats are much bigger Gerrymanders Nadlers district (includes Greenwich Village) has the most McCain area in the country in it. (don't have the ED by ED results for Romney yet)
