The Democrats obsession with "Watergate" was far worse. Hearings to take down a president because a few over-zealous supporters decided to bug their oppositions campaign headquarters.
Um, no. Watergate actually involved President Nixon, and included burglary, bribery, perjury, political espionage, revenge against whistle lowers, and conspiracy to murder. Essentially everyone in the House of Representitives was going to vote to impeach Nixon, and the Senate was certain to convict him, which is why he resigned before the vote could be taken.
Meanwhile, there is no evidence, at all, of wrongdoing on the part of the President, and all signs point to him responding appropriately to the attacks.
