Badger wasn't the only one who risked his life to stop the carnage. One man clobbered alleged gunman Jared Loughner on the back of the head with a folding chair. A 61-year-old woman wrestled a fresh magazine away from Loughner as he tried to reload.
You have a lot more opportunity to stop a person who has to reload a small capacity cartridge than one which holds 30 rounds or more.
Every day, people are murdered with clubs and fists...several times as many as with any kind of rifle, let alone a scary black one. Yet you don't hear much faux outrage and shedding of tears about that.
According to Wikipedia, a 1911 .45 pistol needs to be reloaded after 8 - 10 shots:
M1911 pistol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[indent] An AR-15 uses magazines which can be quickly reloaded. Magazines can range from 10 - 30 rounds or more: AR-15 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaSo a person using an AR-15 to commit a crime has the potential of killing a significant number of people, as we have seen in the Aurora movie theater and Newtown school shootings. That is why weapons like this should not be easily available for purchase.
Yet Columbine and VA Tech happened with the called-for limited 10rd mags.....
Arizona has a law that the police are not allowed to destroy guns turned over to the police. They sell them back to licensed gun shops. So the gun the Mark Kelly bought and surrendered will just go back into circulation.
If the killer in AZ had an AR-15 that day with 30 round mags .... there may have been no survivors.
Well, not likely, given that an AR is much harder to conceal and bring into a large gathering of people without being noticed. Which is irrelevant in regard to your statement:

Please, show me a picture of a "cartridge that holds 30 rounds or more".
