Raffling an AR-15 to raise money for a baseball team certainly isn't stating the members of the team are passing the firearm around amongst themselves as they down shots of scotch and watch pirated copies of deep throat.
If someone donated a car for them to raffle would you assume the kids are joy riding around town in it?

Well, you are right, it probably is the adults making the point, especially the one who donated the firearm. However, they are teaching their children valuable lessons about freedom, liberty and oppressive government.

No, but donating a car would be an appropriate, non-political donation for a children's baseball team. It also wouldn't have prompted the content of your original post, or your need to create this thread which you thought was so funny. What I wrote was an absolutely appropriate analogy, not "non-sequitor."
My comments were never about you, or your beliefs, they were about the children who are being used as pawns in a political agenda. This whole "let's auction off an assault rifle in the name of gov't oppression" is thoughtless and boorish, and worse, gains its publicity on the backs of children.

I believe alcohol and marijuana should be legal and I feel that banning it is oppressive, I still wouldn't donate it to some little league as a raffle prize.

Read the damn article. The kids aren't running around with guns, they're trying to raise money for their team and the gun shop donated a rifle so they could.
