We do have the money and scientifically speaking there is no bigger issue facing us as a society.

Your posting style seems quite familiar, n00b.

The First Lady is rather nice to look at. If President Obama is impeached and removed from office, I would suggest that Michelle Obama stick around Joe Biden's White House, for just that reason.

Like handing taxpayer money over to Big Oil - you know, the truly needy.
Let's see, 100 million to save ordinary Americans' lives against this:

"Even if Congress can't pass a bill to end them, those subsidies are worth focusing on. After all, we're talking about somewhere between $10 billion and $40 billion annually (depending on what you count) in freebie cash for an energy industry already making historic profits".

Like you say, the really important stuff, and of course the joke went over the heads of the right wing.
Then, of course, Big Pharma will reap the benefits of this research by gouging us with their super-expensive medications - so what's your complaint?

You disparage them as "Big Oil" but if the oil companies went out of business and you couldn't fill up your gas guzzler, or if gasoline cost $8.00/gal, you would be among the first b_ _ _hing, moaning, and complaining.

Oh, you are so right about that!! And I would be in the company of many, many exploited ordinary Americans.
Big Oil is milking us as we speak. They totally control prices with no need to compete thanks to repug deregulation, and have hit their pricing "sweet spot" for this particular political time.
And the heroes of your stock portfolio, whom you gladly bribe with your tax money, are making unprecedented profits. If they decided to charge $8 per gallon, which they could easily do at any time, that would just be further proof of what I say.
Your smarmy words are like those of a despot - "be happy that you're being exploited" or as your hero Limbaugh said "If you don't like gas prices, just don't drive". Of course his audience isn't real bright...

You seem to have many misconceptions about me. It would behoove you to remain in the realm of reality and leave your vivid imagination for your future career as a novelist.

Like I said, weak sell. If you printed out Bush's gaffes in book form, it would make "War and Peace" look like a pamphlet.

Well Mensa, what "behooves" you is to post something profound and at least somewhat germane to the discussion at hand.

On what planet?
Afghanistan has not ended. It escalated under Obama and with his new rules of engagement our troops are sitting ducks. Iraq ended on Bush's set timeline. Obama tried to negotiate to keep our troops in Iraq but failed. Bin Laden was caught due to over nine years of intelligence work and Obama had very little or nothing to do with that. Obama may be a success in liberal bizzaro world but not in the real world.
