The recent report from ABC News that in Florida, where there are more concealed weapons permits than anywhere else in the country, violent crime has dropped to the lowest point in history, delighted Sean Caranna, executive director of Florida Carry, Inc. “We’re happy to have facts and statistics put into these debates, because every time they do, we win,” he said.

Firearm-related violent crimes in Florida have dropped by one-third in just four years, 2007 to 2011, while concealed carry permits jumped by 90 percent in that period. Further, violent crime of any kind dropped almost as much, 26 percent.
Florida Update: Concealed Carry Permits Up, Violent Crime Down

Not that this is a surprise to anyone that pays attention. It does bear repeating for some of our uninformed readers. What stops bad guys with guns is good guys with guns.

Makes you wonder why Reid didn't introduce legislation for a nationally recognized concealled carry permit, instead of promoting laws that would in all likelyhood increase violent crime.

Reid's form of gun control isn't about guns. It's about control.

That's why he added EXTRA just so it couldn't pass.

He knows what he is doing.

He's not dumb when it comes to firearms and the NRA.

He wants to keep his job....he'll vote the right way.

Actually, Reid's form of gun control is about dementia. That slobbering fool needs to retire and go far, far away.

He didn't introduce it.

And he voted against it.
