We dont always have to put a charge on everything. We dont even know the entire story. You do realize the police did there investigation and if the found negligence, there would have been charges.

There is more to the story then whats been reported.

When kids are of an age where they are mature enough to handle something so potentially dangerous, then they can learn how to use guns.
I wish you would have decided to actually address what I said. No, we do not let a kid drive on the roads just like we wouldn't let the kid go off to war.

We do allow them to get experience though with vehicles more their size which is what was done here.

We do not give temporary driving permits under adult supervision to five year-olds; we should not be giving them permission under adult supervision to work with guns. At that kind of an age of the child, this should not be controversial to any sane adult. Not surprisingly, extremist rural conservatives will tend to be armed to the teeth AND to find this controversial, and of course they are the ones who should be the last to be trusted near firearms or children. The insanity knows no bounds. They have this "Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier" thing going on in their heads which does not match the reality of what appropriate risk is for a child of that age to be taking on.
Part of that is because of people like yourself and so many other examples recently concerning those who feel they know best when it comes to your kids. No soda, no hamburger, no role playing on the playground, and no education on the handling of guns.

Your talk is filth and full of nothing. Tell me what you know about the south. Come out here and spread the word you speak.

Have a civilized adult conversation please.

You weren't there and I wasn't there, but just for the hell of it, can you think of any set of circumstances in which the act of an adult leaving a loaded firearm which a five-year-old child had been allowed to use in a place where it is accessible to the five-year-old, and resulting in the death of another child, would not constitute negligence?

should the parents, the gun manufacturer, or both be held responsible for this little girl's death?
