It does. That's how liberals behave.

If enough states pass same sex marriage, then the federal government will act and make it legal in the US.

As long as the government is involved, it will continue to be redefined.

A more likely scenario: #1 - there will be campaigns to overturn state bans on same sex marriage, as is going on now in Oregon, where signatures are being collected to force a referendum on the matter, and #2 - there will be legal challenges in the courts. As legally married gay and lesbian couples and their children move into states that do not have marriage equality, I cannot help but feel they are going to sue on the basis of the "full faith and credit" clause of the US Constitution.

Once upon a time in order to get a legal divorce a trip to Reno, Nevada, was required ... but when the divorced couple returned to their own state the divorce was recognized and binding.

I'm pretty happy for the folks who have been with their partner for many years. They interviewed a few after the vote and nothing but happiness. I mean you have no heart if you can't be happy for those folks.

I'll quickly put this issue behind. I still don't think it is right but we have bigger problems to worry about.

I guess congratulations to the folks who can be married now.

More states will pass it, Illinois, Hawaii, Colorado, others will likely overturn their state bans and then pass it (Oregon is making steps in this direction).

I really don't have a hard fast viewpoint on Gays, Brothers or sisters or polygamy with respect to marriage. Anyone of those groups can get it on without getting married, so it seems kind of moot other then tax and survival issues. The arguement that the two people wanting to get married are both tax paying members of society is the main thing that brings me into the camp of supporting SSM and therefore I have to be ok with Brothers or sisters marrying and polygamist too.

How soon before they lower the age of consent? 15 is the legal age for Plan B??

They are officially old enough to make decisions like that? Then they can play ball with the big boys too.

Well only an idiot would think that 15yr olds aren't sexually active.
