I didn't read about her being asked to resign. Being asked to resign is just another way to tell someone they are fired. I guess she thinks if she resigns it would be perceived as if she did something wrong?? Like taking invoking the 5th to prove she was innocent???
Her best move would to look to make a deal and tell what she knows, before she finds herself being responsible for everything based on the testimony that others may give (be it true or not).
