And what do all those studies mean? Nothing until the IRS actually tells them how it will be. The cluster is almost upon us. You swooners can bray all you want but your 30 or whatever million that was touted that needed this dire care and had to have it and forced this whole mess upon the USA is a joke. I bet more are left out then prior when all is said and done. Any takers???
Covered California, the authority in charge of the state's health insurance exchange, has released details about what the health insurance market for individuals who don't get coverage at work will look like next year. In all, 13 health insurance companies will sell products on the exchange, and premiums will range from 2 percent more to 29 percent less than what comparable plans cost this year, the agency said.
California is not only the most populous state in the U.S., but it also has the highest number of uninsured residents, 7.3 million in 2011. The state is tied for the fourth-highest percentage of residents without health insurance at 20 percent, census data show. The state embraced health care reform soon after Obama signed the law in 2010 and is seen as a bellwether for whether the initiative can succeed.
This just in...what??? Republican Gov. Jan Brewer calls for Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act joining Rick Christie, and John Kasich....
Well, of course the states that push to implement the ACA bill will get a lot better outcomes for it's citizens.
The fact is this should be a triumph for conservatives policy, since the ACA is a conservative heritage foundation, Newt Gingirch, Bob Dole, Mitt Rmoney, supported idea to address a very real problem.
It won't work as well as single payer, but it is a right step.
conservatives don't care about policy anymore. They don't care about addressing tangible issues anymore.
This is actually phenomenal. Our company just told us what our premiums would go up after the July 1 2013 renewal, it was 1.45%. That is the lowest in the company's history since inception 15 years ago. Everyone was in shock, especially one co worker who decried that "Obamacare" would raise premiums by 50%. I would agree that at least this year, it seems to be a success. Give credit where credit is due!
Insurance premiums are relevant to the economy and government UCR and ICD9/10 reinbursement rates. The premiums arent skyrocketing because the reinbursement rates havent climbed due to a faulting economy ...
On the other side, Obama said premiums would FALL 3,000%..
Recent data provided by the nation’s largest health insurance companies reveals that a provision of the Affordable Care Act – or Obamacare – is bringing big numbers of the uninsured into the health care insurance system.
And they are precisely the uninsured that we want– the young people who tend not to get sick.
The provision of the law that permits young adults under 26, long the largest uninsured demographic in the country, to remain on their parents’ health insurance program resulted in at least 600,000 newly insured Americans during the first quarter of 2011.
Wellpoint, the nation’s largest publicly traded health insurer with some 34 million customers, reports adding 280,000 new members in the first three months of 2011.
Um, 1 company picking up new customers doesnt mean there are new members, it just means that people are switching ocmpany..
280K new members, means 280K less members elsewhere. Yep, big insurance companies the large benefactor while you applaud fascism being thrown in your face..
And you KUchief25 will be right in line with everyone else.
He'll have about the same amount of choice that the Jews had under Hitler.. Excuse him for not applauding...
