Apparently corporate America and our government didn't get the message.
I don't care if I'm alone on the issue. We need Occupy back or some form of mass protests in this country addressing the issues of income inequality, wage stagnation, and corporate greed.
The Economy is STILL the most important issue in this country and we're currently doing nothing to fix it.
I'd like to start back up the discussion.
They should start by demanding a wall along our entire southern border and demanding that illegals be rounded up and sent back.
You did! In fact, it appears they're laughing at your bunch of rag tag, masked, buffoons.
Well when FBI, CIA, Homeland Security and who knows what other agencies are montoring activists, following their movement along with early morning raids on homes activists at and taking away computers , written materials , I say the power elite are a little worried.
'Ol Ted is certainly trying to sell his photographs. If any of you want one, he says he sells them non-profit for the same price as your local Walgreens,....who make great money and still pays for the brick and mortar storefronts.
Give 'ol Ted a try. He can't post all of these for free. Go to his website and buy some photos. 'Ol Ted apparently needs the dough.
Okay... right. Can't think of any other insult to him huh?
We need complete, government mandated income equality. The dishwasher at McDonalds should make the same thing as a heart surgeon. That will solve all our problems.
You're not alone. OWS was a failure. Why?
IMO, lack of organization. Protesters protested in the wrong places. Bankers will lock their doors to protesters. Demonstrators should have been better organized, and marched on DC and at their State Houses, to get legislators to sit up and take notice.
Remember the anti war protests of the Vietnam era? That's how it needs to be done. Citizens need to get the message to representatives that we're tired of being held hostage by Wall Street and Big Banks.
Lawmakers are the ones getting the kickbacks, not the American citizen.
There were actually laws put in place during the protests that prevented protesters from getting too close to certain government buildings and events if I remember correctly. At the protests, people were trapped and rounded up simply for protesting. Multiple times people were arrested without ever being given signal to disperse.
They've been caught on film doing it. As well as beating Americans, pepper spraying Americans, and shooting Americans with rubber bullets, bean bag bullets, and tear gas grenades.
I'd also like to note that in a few of the police brutality/excessive force cases against the NYPD, the city has chosen not to represent the officers. That goes a long way in showing how the city viewed the particular incidents.
As you can see, there's no credible opposition so far.
