that seems to be education, East Asia style, happens regularly around the region.

Corruption is endemic there, and is the name of the game - good job we have democracy in the West IMO

Apparently the competition is so fierce there are effectively no rules. What we would call corruption they call business as usual. Their game and not, so we want to believe, ours.

rules there are just, 'whoever can grab it first' - so I can't understand why so many Western govts. and companies want to sell out to them - give it another 50 years or so and WE will be the ones cleaning their toilets.

That is what happens when you have a system that favors test scores over real learning. It’s a lesson for everyone, including politicians in the US.

Chinese culture is and always has been Darwinism in action. It does not take prisioners or suffer the stupid or fools. There is only sucess. There are no rules and no concept of fair.
