In most countries the worst case penalty for treason is death, and US has a reputation for torturing people at Gitmo, but with those two options off the table, the Ruskies might unload Snowden back to US without being accused of sending a person to a country where he might get killed.
Sad day when a citizen risks his existence to provide his fellow citizens the transparency in government that our elected official promised he would do.
All the information he leaked about the spying on the American people by the US government and people just sit in their chair thinking this is still a dem/rep issue and call each other names. People should be angry about this. People should be up in arms over the shredding of the constitution. But all we end up with is the same drivel about TM over and over again. This nation really has become full of sheep just following along, never questioning anything.

doubt it, that would send a massage to all potential leakers not to ever leak info to other countries in fear of being extradited back to the country of origin..

The US doesn't always keep their end of the bargain.
Russia isn't stupid enough to drink the koolaid.
Reminds me of Saddam who promised his son in laws everything is forgiven come on home...we will have a family picnic...then the tragic AK-47 accident at the watermelon eating contest...

I'd like a massage...send me one!!!
Back on topic...Snowden is a traitor, I for one don't care if he ever sets foot on US soil again. Live in Russia, bucko, see how much you like it there.
How is America doing when our Government officials have to promise not to kill or torture another human being?
I thought the US doesn't do that anymore, so why does Holder have to promise he won't do what we already don't do? Typical empty administration promise.

The people will deserve the government they finally get. Unfortunately, the rest of us will have to put up with it also, since the dumbed-down ones are in the majority.

Yep, the rest of us suffer because too many are dumbed-down by public schools. Exactly why democrats don't believe in school choice. The others are just bought off votes hoping for free stuff which they still wait for.
