The reason that Bush knew about chemical weapons was because they were sold to him by the CIA to use against the Iranians. He also knew that they were old and outdated as well. Syria had their own chemicals and did not need Saddam's

I don't think simetime meant that the US as a nation would make money on the war. That doesn't mean that there aren't people making money hand over fist on the Iraq war. War has always been a great way to move public money into private pockets.

You are right, everytime that there is a war their are people that who making money hand over fist. think of companies with government contracts to rebuild the infrastructure, companies that make weapons, companies that transport food and supplies and those at the top of the money making pyramid the banks who finance the whole thing by lending money to both sides. Naturally anyone who is in "the know" and has money to invest in these ventures. Oh yeah, the politicians who approved it in the first place since they already have the inside track on who gets the no-bid contracts in the first place.

Have you ever heard of the Banana Wars, for instance? Little dirty wars fought to make sure that US interests in the Caribbean fruit plantations didn't get threatened by silly natives who felt that fruit grown in their country should somehow belong to them.

Nope, I think that he believes everything that the government or the media tell him

No one (supposely) thought of it as a weapon, because if they did'nt why is there a no fly zone over some buildings in D.C but not others?

Hey, don't be so hard on the lying/draft-dodger/guilty of perjury/obstruction of justice ex-president! (Bill Clinton/William the Impeached).

Bush did what Clinton refused to dirty his hands with and liberals still don't know how to say thank you.

It isn't individual facts that are an act of delusion. It is developing a conspiracy theory based on those facts that is an act of delusion. It's the age-old "it could be true, therefore it is true" logical fallacy.

You know it's funny that you mentioned him and I'm not giving him a pass either, but I give him a tad more respect then Bush who used his grandfather to get him to the top of the list in the Texas National Guard. He attended some drills and skipped out on the Alabama National Guard and had the audacity to start an unecessary war which killed thousands of Americans and crippled thousands more either mentally or physically. To add insult to injury had the balls to wear an air combat suit and declare "Mission Accomplished" which pissed off more people who became our enemies. To make it even worst he even had a cabinet of draft dodgers who encouraged this folly. Can you name any of his cabinet members that served in the military besides C. Powell and Tommy Thompson?
