But you're going to continue to push the lie that Reagan was a racist who supported apartheid. One more time.
Will the lightbulb ever turn on? Probably not.
You can post the quote as many times as you want, but no where in it does he say he does not support the government in South Africa, Which was my point. You made an assumption and you were wrong, just get over it and move on.
Reagan views on race are a whole another argument all together. him hiding behind " it wont work" when it came to every bit of civil rights legislation that landed on his desk doesnt work with anyone with a brain.
Will the lightbulb has been on, you just simple view things differently than i do.
I knew there would be inaccuracies before the inaccuracies were documented. Thanks for the information. Hollywood and it's ilk are very good about changing truth into a lie in order to change history and to turn the narrative.
Except that the first three claims of inaccuracies are really accurate. Nixon used the "southern strategy" to attract previous Dixiecrat Democrats into the GOP. Reagan used the same strategy to keep them. The Civil Rights Act was Johnson's major achievement. Northern Democrats and northern Republicans generally voted for it while Southern Democrats and Republicans voted against it.
I must point out another inaccuracy: the title of the film was supposed to be "The Butter", but when seeking funding for the film the title was mistakenly typed "The Butler" in the prospectus.
Since investors thought the film dealt with a butler, the film-makers wisely tossed the "Butter" idea (the come-back film for Pee Wee Herman), wrote up a new script based on an earlier TV movie, and the rest is history.

How is that an inaccuracy? Is the film "The Butler" or not? Lots of films change their names by the time of final release. Doesn't make them inaccurate.
