No the turtles need to seek help from the enviro kooks who were supposedly saving them. You want to ignore it like all the rest. Dead turtles on your hands, hero, like many other dead animals you just wipe off and walk away.

Believe it or not. Lighting is the main residential power user. I don't like wasting my money and for that reason more than any other I don't use incandescent light bulbs. I have bought a few LED light fixtures lately and the light from them is awesome. It's the closest thing I have seen to natural outside light. I don't worry about the mercury as I take them to a recycle facility when they are burnt out.

Smart money is moving to LED bulbs, which use considerably less electricity. So let Beck's power bills be higher. Who cares?

On air, he asked a staffer to write a memo that threatened to fire anyone caught using one. The YouTube video of the moment was picked up by Grist.

Regardless of your climate change position you have to laugh. But feel bad for his employees.
I like LED bulbs, and have compact cfl's, but remember, compact cfl's contain mercury, and have to be disposed of as hazardous waste.

It’s been protected from meddlesome hikers by the threat of prison time. And wildlife officials have set the species up on a sprawling conservation reserve outside Las Vegas.
But the pampered desert dweller now faces a threat from the very people who have nurtured it.

Federal funds are running out at the Desert Tortoise Conservation Center and officials plan to close the site and euthanize hundreds of the tortoises they’ve been caring for since the animals were added to the endangered species list in 1990."

So the very desert tortoises who they claimed couldn't take care of themselves in the wild can't now because they have been weened off the government teet and can't survive on their own, the same government who will have to kill them to protect them. Complete and utter insanity. So goes the enviro lunatics.

Yes, many animals can't survive in the wild after being in captivity, and some can't survive in the wild because of man-made problems, does that mean that we shouldn't try to save them?
