Show me the pacifist-liberal platform on national defense ?
Oh there isn't any.
You just posted it. You can add the 2008 talking points because they support it 100%: End the war in Iraq, bring the troops home, leave Iran alone, end the Afghan war by 2014, fight terror by defunding as opposed to military force etc, etc. It could have been written by you.
Look at China. Just showing up with a suitcase full of cash and a trade agreement works.
It really does work.
How many Chinese interests and Chinese workers have been attacked in Iraq ?
Of course. 1.3 billion people have an inertia that people will be willing to bet on. The US isn't willing to just give up. Is that something you'd rather have the US do?
It's sticky in every situation. It sucks. It's a bed we made. What else is there to do but to follow through with it all and wish for the best?

So a Libertarian is a pacifist-liberal ?
The party platform doesn't have any talking points.

No dead Chinese workers and no Chinese assets targeted or threatened.
AQ is taking over Iraq.
You're right. They're Neo-liberal instituinoalist. They don't like "boots on the ground" but they do like using corporations and police forces for actions while they're "not at war." Neoliberals are as warmongering as the next neoconservative.

And how does any of that describe Libertarians ?
The Ron Paul kind.
It doesn't.
At least I'm consistent in my stance.
No war under Bush and no war under Obama.
9/11 should have been handled with covert CIA not a full out invasion.
No county's military attacked the US.
CNN stopped printing "only" White house statements and printed a story about what's "the evidence"
Of course there are still White House statements about declassified evidence NO ONE has actually seen but its a start!. Even printed a tiny extract from the Russian point of view.
Maybe CNN relies no one is buying this crap any more and feel pressure to add a tiny bit of actual journalism?
