I guess the moral of the story is "Don't feed the racist". One should be able to name their child with a traditional African name or an African American associated name.....if they like it. However, that feeds the racist and gives them something to digest. Its a shame that black folks cannot simply be black folks without it being used against us.
That said, however, racist are going to "Eat" whether you feed them or not.
Ya but Linda is a very generic common name. Holds no racial, ethnic , or whatever. Just how many people remember Linda Lovelace ? Not many I bet , especially being a pioneer in Porn acting long ago now, who was not much in her field considering today's porn stars.( which I know little of LOL ) Keisha I am sure is not her real name anyway, but it does stick.

I think Keisha is a cute name and certainly not 'overly ethnic'. If anything it's common, where Kylie is trendy. That's probably all there is to this NON STORY.
A friend of mine from long ago didn't like her middle name and changed it to something more modern and trendy, keeping the same first letter too. It didn't make the news though.
