They just opened here in Lubbock. They just cost themselves some money. I see no reason why I should patronize a business that insults religious people.

How about the Roman Empire - was that a fictional civilization, as well?

Or is your position that some parts of the Bible are historically accurate while others aren't?

In that case you can't very well call the entire volume fiction(or fantasy), now can you?
If you want to go by those standards then The vampire Lestat is not fiction. New Orleans exists. France exists. London exists.

If all it takes to be considered non fiction is having some real places, then 90% of fiction needs to be reclassified.

You were really going to go there, weren't you?
They've said it was a mistake so if you can't read better than you've indicated, I doubt you were going to be a customer.

OLD COLD: How would you know? What makes you an expert on my life? You sound like a typical arrogant NY'er that thinks the world revolves around them.

I'm a Christian, and I don't offend easily.

I'll just file this one under the "I could care less" label.

Obviously it was an atheist that "mislabled" the Bible.

Very few atheists have taken the time to thoroughly research their claims, but a few, or well, one in particular has made very good arguments in support of his claims. However, relgion or the fear of God is necessary for the governance of society, so regardless of whether you believe or not, many fail to understand the consequences of having no consequences for your life on earth.

It reminds me of the atheists that were upset because a Christian group did not allow them to feed the homeless at their organization. It makes sense because what message would the atheists have for the homeless?

Think about it. The homeless are often in a position that may be worse than death, especially from an atheist perspective, where death is where you merely cease to exist. A homeless life is almost certainly worse than prison for many of them, whereby they would atleast get 3 square meals a day and shelter from the elements.

So what message do the atheists have for these homeless? Will they tell them their terrible lives will never get better and when they die, there is nothing, so what they have today, is all they will ever have and it is worse than death? Perhaps, they can advise them to commit crimes, so they could live a better life in prison. Afterall, there is no afterlife, right? There is no salvation.

So be careful what you wish for. When you remove the shepard, who will protect the sheep?

Oh, obviously.

And if you'e so concerned about the homeless, bag up some food and give it to any you meet. I do. I don't ask them what their spirituaql belief and non-belief is, it doesn't matter. Hungry is hungry.

It would be more helpful than trying to guess what an athiest would do.

The thing I don't understand about the state of religion today, is that we're so busy arguing on who's right than actually do what God told us to do. I never felt so free in my spiritual life than when I left religion behind.

What on God's green earth does it matter what a book is labeled. It's not the book, it's the faith.

I feel I'm a more useful Christian now than when I attended church every Wednesday and Sunday. (Lapsed Baptist).

It is what it is. All these people live in bubbles. They don't realize the world is full of big bad wolves, and the wolves are hungry.

The only thing that seperates them from the wolves is the shepard. You remove the shepard, what protects people from the wolves?

Even the domesticated dogs that are there to protect the sheep, with no guidance, what are they, but wolves?

Yes. Antagonizing customers is never a good thing.

Otherwise it is much ado about nothing.

You've seen plenty of articles where people act on their own even when on the clock for someone else.
That Burger King sign, this labeling, racist customer receipts, etc.

People will do what they want these days.
