Just for giggles I called 5 small business owners I know and 100% of them had never read, posted, our been polled by this blog or anyone else so I'm not quite ready to bet much more then a penny, and I better get long odds, that this is representative of the national scene.
I hate to attack others- but your quote above is astoundingly wrong.
I Go to the gym 4-5 days a week- eat a very healthy diet of mostly fish (baked or broiled) lots of veggies, I do not smoke, eat donuts- I am 6'4" tall and weigh 184- hardly over weight- oh yes I indulge- in wine- and martini's on Friday
I have no debt- own my home with NO mortgage- frankly your post seems like a storybook from Nazi right wing republico garbage.
I as a responsible human being do not need to be lectured by southern.....
Good for you.
You failed to point out HOW my post was astoundingly wrong.

Unfortunately right wing (specifically economic libertarianism) is like a religion.
It's not sustainable "in practice," but it sure makes them feel all warm and fuzzy to think they "made it on your own" without the regulatory government, consumer protection agencies, courts, federal banks, universal primary education, quality government subsidized higher education, etc. etc. playing a major role in the success of the United States and they're ability to do business here - as if they'd be JUST as successful in Somalia or Afghanistan.

Good for you,I am sure most small businesses are actually in favor of paying more taxes and having more restrictions placed upon them, afterall most people go into business for themselves in order to support others.
I know only a few small business owners who ARE Democrats and to be honest they cannot seem to put two and two together as to increased business costs and who is behind the increase in those those costs.
Good for you.

Well then do I need to show that responsible people in this nation are hurting?
The problem as I have said before; the republican party and conservatives are slow to react to social change- and social justice- that will prove to be their undoing.

.
And that has what to do with establishing any credibility of a blog and claims of a vast majority's tendencies?

Who says small businesses have to pay "more taxes"? Most small businesses, if they're smart, have good accountants and lawyers to shelter income (S corp, for example).

I know small business owners who have a small restaurant. They're #1 complaint is the increase in food and energy prices over the past few years. Taxes aren't even an issue.
Somehow 8 years of Republican "leadership" has yet to benefit them in any tangible way. But I guess if you say something over and over it becomes automatically true?

Bad things happen, you weren't guaranteed happiness, just the ability to pursue it.
That seems to be a common problem with a lot of people, their inability to grasp that they aren't owed anything and don't deserve anything simply for being.
Hate to break it to you but all that touchy-feely doodoo was a lie...
Back to the thread, can we all agree that this Rich againts poor class war fare nonsense from the Democrats is hypocritical at best. I for one think it is great for Democrats to be filthy rich like John Edwards, just stop trying to prevent and place guilt on the rest of us from doing the same.
