Low income housing unfortunately is a magnet for not only the poor, but the dishonest poor as well.

Sherman Hills Wilkes-barre Pa for example.... Every week another shooting, mugging, fight, drug raid,or name the crime. Property values surrounding the area have plummeted. I wish it were unique. I wish people living in low income projects appreciated the gift they are given. No doubt many do, unfortunately many don't.
If you treat people like people, you have better outcomes in low income areas than if you treat them like future thugs and criminals. We do a lot of the latter with our policies and systemic problems.

Well the problem is that SF refuses to get more housing built. That landlord feels unlucky because he isn't in one of those areas where the rent for a 2 bedroom increased from $2k in 2003 to $6k now.

I am fine with that, I was just pointing out that in the article the developer wanted to be able to build efficiency apartments, which I am kind of against.

I notice how many on the "right" support Agenda 21 and don't even know it.

Agenda 21 is about Population Control, Sustainable Development and Resource Control.

You do all three of the above through monetary means via Foreign and Domestic Economic Policies.

The majority of American's have had their wages stagnant due to these policies which means less consumption of resources, and population control where they want them and many on the right are fine with less for the majority of American's.


Thing is, these policies will trickle up and effect them to unless you are in bed with the government or one of the top .5% calling the shots.

Leave it to clueless government goons in Portland, down here in LA and elsewhere to be the biggest impediment to the existence of REAL affordable housing.

Hugely, massively. Heck even a <1 year certificate will probably push out at least 50% of the dishonest poor tenants

The article says the buildings cost is 70,000 per unit. No poor person can afford a 70,000+ home.
