Agreed!

I found a figure that stated 44% of Venezuela's oil revenue comes from the US. That was from 2004 though....still, let the SOB cut off his nose to spite his face. I'll gladly pay extra at the pump for that.

He doesn't care about Venezuela's economy though; he's already wealthy, and he's pretty much dictator for life at this point. He can afford to not care about the peasants whom he lied to in order to get elected. He's a scumbag.

I wish we could figure out an alternative to foreign oil imports so we could tell BOTH Chavez and the Saudis to go eff themselves.

He'll win the election handily -- he's given out more free sparkly goodies to the campesinos than a Democratic alderman in Chicago.

We're stuck with this bloated toad for the next decade or so.

I believe we need alternatives to imported oil, and if our suppliers start to make this kind of noise, we need it now.

However, I've lived in country that experienced an oil embargo and it wasn't easy.

What we don't always realize is oil is not just petrol, it is also plastics, and all its other consumables.

You are so right. Few people seem aware of that.
