So as usual the citizens vote doesn't matter. We are slaves not citizens...only a slaves opinion doesn't matter...a citizens does.
They split from Mexico and were an independent nation for a time.
Were you not aware that opinions change over time, and support for same sex marriage has grown every year in the polls? Civil Rights
I like how the complaint is about rights. They don't want the Federal Government to take away the states' rights so they can deny homosexuals marriage rights... Seems like a legitimate argument
#2 tactic from progressive liberal playbook: When losing an argument, falsely parallel the opponent's argument with racism.
If it were a false parallel. But it's not.
A discriminatory law was favored by a majority of the population. The courts ruled that the law was discriminatory, and therefore Unconstitutional, and the law was nullified. The people complied with the court's ruling.
If Texas didn't refuse to comply with an order of the Supreme Court over ending its practice of banning interracial marriage, I don't it see doing so over a much less contentious issue.
Gay marriage is much more contentious to Christians. The Bible doesn't forbid inter-racial marriage and there are examples of it in scripture. The Bible clearly does forbid homosexual acts. There are people that will obey God's law above all else.
Give em hell Texas! Don't let them get a foot hold hear in the south!
The good news is if Texas is stupid enough to do this then we finally get a dispute between rulings in different circuits thus giving the SCotUS grounds to make a definitive ruling mandating marriage equality for the whole country. You wing nuts should be careful what you wish for.

Read it and weep.
Well according to another of your allies there polls don't matter especially when voting on stuff..so I take the same approach to this garbage.

Obviously. We are a oligarchy we have no say in anything anymore.
We're a Constitutional Republic. And our founders specifically included a non-democratic branch of government to keep watch over the other 2.
