Because civil rights shouldn't be voted on. Would you want people to vote for your rights or vote to deny you your rights?
That is the history of the US like it or not.

If times have changed that much then put it to a vote by the people in the state.

So when you and your wife were just living together, did the IRS allow you to file taxes jointly and save a ton of money? No? Imagine that.

Eventually you were *allowed* by the state to get married and enjoy 1,000 or more legal benefits of that legal status. And you want to deny that to others because … it's "icky"?

Why do you believe in legal discrimination against your fellow human beings and citizens?

Unless you plan to repeal the Second Amendment, you won't be able to "cleanse" anyone against their will.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

States rights don't mean **** when it comes to human rights. If you want to enact a different tax or change the state bird, fine, but you don't get to subjugate a specific group of people on the grounds of "religious tradition."

It's about the dumbest argument you could make.

We're learning that nothing has to be repealed.
Just get a judge to rule it unconstitutional and it's the new law of the land.
Just get the DOJ not to enforce or defend it and it's the new law of the land.
Just get a President to use his pen and phone and it's the new law of the land.

Yet, you were able to get married, weren't you? And you took advantage of that fact. Why do you want to discriminate against others simply because you don't like that they're not like you?

The rest of your post is nothing but dramatics. Grow up.

Are you saying that if you were in charge, your final solution to the homosexual problem would be a cleansing?

And *increasing* the rights of a small group of your fellow citizens affects you adversely how?

Yes, he plans to herd us all into camps and scrub us down with Ivory Soap (99.44% white) -- none of that sissy "body gel" crap. I'm sure that's exactly what he means.

Hmmm? Nope. My wife and I will be going on 14 years in September.
