Obamacare plans to exceed $1 trillion, create reluctant workers: CBO - Health Exchange - MarketWatch
btw, the original estimates were ONE TRILLION to be saved in the first decade.. What happened to the other $900 Billion?

btw, you do understand that the money projected to be "saved" is due to TAXES, right?

And laws regulating insurance companies have already saved American consumers $2.1 billion dollars as of Sept 2012.

The Affordable Care Act

Obamacare will also save 45,000 Americans from dying each year from not having insurance.
New study finds 45,000 deaths annually linked to lack of health coverage | Harvard Gazette

And since Obamacare will give everyone health insurance and preventive medical care, it will save America (HUGE) amounts of money in the distant future (there will be less sick people.)
Hey chad, 30,000,000 WILL STILL GO WITHOUT INSURANCE..

do you understand that?

And the ONLY way the federal governments deficit will decrease is BECAUSE TAXES ON ACA are now going to the federal government, NOT the healthcare industry..

I'm waiting for you left wing kooks to tell me how me paying a tax to the federal government, will save my life, since I STILL dont have insurance..

Me paying the government a tax, doesnt reinburse the hospitals for my treatment..

What part of that dont you understand?

In the same way adding a $5 tax per gallon of gasoline would probably eliminate the federal deficit.. that doesnt mean hospitals are going to be more solvent, or that people will be treated.... Or that its a good idea..

tell me Chad, why do you care more about the government than the people being harmed? Do you hate americans?

If you click (see Table 3) in your source, it goes to the CBO's actual website. The CBO says,

"CBO and JCT estimate that, on balance, the direct spending and revenue effects of enacting the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act would yield a net reduction in federal deficits of $130 billion over the 2010-2019 period."

The other links in your source are broken and go to "Page not found."
That estimate is FIVE years old, and was computed by bringing in 10 years of tax revenues but only 7 years of expenses.

Try again..

Somebody needs to tell Nancy that socialism doesn't work in a (supposed) free country like the United States.

If anyone's wasting time, it's Pelosi, as she's looking foolish trying to convince people what a "good deal" this stupid law is.

They are wasting their time in the idea that sooner or later Obama is going to do on his own what they want to get passed.

And Obama wont be President forever..

If he was smart, he'd work with the GOP to make reasonable changes to get it working properly, rather than sitting on his hands and pretending everything is fine, leaving the GOP no choice but to repeal it as soon as they have the votes.

Two words: SAMPLE. SIZE.

Without knowing how many people were polled, the poll is meaningless. And knowing Harvard, they probably polled professors.

So, still, FAIL.

You need to accept that Obama's lies about Obamacare are out in the open now. For you to continue to eat what you are being spoon-fed is dangerous.

If the ACA turns out to be something a little short of Apocalyptic I’m guessing many conservatives, especially moderate ones, will stay home and not vote just to punish Republicans for wasting their time for eight years.
