I will note the inconsistency in your words, however. Stating abuse will definitely occur (...one person or group...D or R...), precludes small government from solving much, by way of abuse of power, anyway. "Small" is a subjective term, as well. Your idea of small may be another's idea of large, and vice-versa. "Keep government small" makes for good talking points, but is horribly vague.
government is too expensive, too many people taking out of the till and too few people paying in. Government wastes too much money, it gives too much money away too.
Look at all the interest that is being paid (wasted money). Government needs to cut back everywhere. People need to get a job so they can also pay taxes and contribute to reducing our debt.
