Yep. They know they're going to get their clocks cleaned over that hideous *ahem* "healthcare" law, so they pull this equal pay biz out of thin air to yet again demonize the opposition.... the only way they know to win, apparently.

Well, lets think for a moment who the Democratic "female" base is exactly:

She's single .

She's uneducated.

She has multiple children out of wedlock.

She's on welfare.

She's on food stamps.

She's on WIC.

She's only had minimum wage jobs.

These are the people that knuckle-dragging Democratic pandering appeals to. The exact opposite of the above is smart enough to figure out all the variables involved in hiring, job responsibilities, and compensation. The sad part is that these smarter liberal women won't stand up and say "enough with the nonsense!" They play right along knowing full well this argument for equal pay is complete junk politics. Yet they accept it because it makes them feel good to think that single, uneducated women who have nothing to offer society deserve to be paid more.

This is yet another reason why Democrats and liberals are the scum of the earth.

If only those damn uppity women had stayed in the kitchen, where they belong, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Why? Did not both people accept the offered or negotiated wage and benefit package?

Actually it is the fact that many of them do spend a few years "in the kitchen" and changing diapers that explains much of the wage gap.

Have kids ? Did you take any time off a work career to raise those kids ?

Many women do.

If there is pay inequality for equal work anyone can file an EEOC complaint. Most businesses are very sensitive on this subject.

Yes. I had a year of paid maternity leave. Then I went back to work, where they had to hold my job for me and have to pay me the same as the men working in the field.
Our government encourages women to work instead of going on welfare. Your mileage may vary.

Just wondering, is that a legal requirement in Canada?

Can father's as well as mother's take a full year of paid time off without worrying about losing their job?

Could a couple conceivable skip work and pickup a paycheck for five years in a row just by having a child every year?

So if they got a raise then you also got a raise while not working ?
That doesn't seem very fair..they actually worked one year longer than you.
Are the salaries public in your job and based on years worked ?
