Sorry to interrupt our regularly scheduled ranting and bashing of "liberals" with some facts, but let's look at jobs created by president:

Jobs created during U.S. presidential terms - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Funny how the only idiot with a negative number is - of course - Dubya.

And while the economy is still doing poorly, it is laughable to pretend that it is all somehow "Obama's fault." What are those do-nothing in Congress doing, other than trying to repeal the ACA dozens of times? Right...

Of course, had the economy come roaring back to life, we'd instead be hearing about how the Tea Nuts are "heroes" and "things would be even better without Obama."

It's getting old, guys. You have no facts, no understanding of how the government and economy work, and nothing but bitterness and hatred.

You folks and your ignorant and illogical "the government is lying about the UE rate" just crack me up.

"The government lies about the UE rate" but "tells the truth about the LFPR and other stats" you cherry pick?

Do you even have a CLUE how stoooooopid that sounds?

Ken
The only ignorant ones are those who can't understand the fact that the labor participation rate has been steadily dropping means those not working are not contributing and others have to provide for them.
The ignorant ones are those who never saw the biggest collapse since the Great Depression coming. You never saw the biggest collapse in 75 years and people should listen to you?

Do you even have a CLUE how stoooooopid that sounds?

You're Herman Cain and Janet Yellen rolled into one.

Just one answer to your question.

In bipartisan vote, House jobs bill passes overwhelmingly

In a rare act of bipartisanship on Capitol Hill, the House has overwhelmingly passed the JOBS Act, 390-23, a package of six bills dedicated to helping small businesses get access to capital and create jobs. The package had been spearheaded by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) and had the blessing of the White House's Office of Management and Budget.........

The JOBS Act now goes to the Senate where it’s fate as a stand-alone bill is unclear. Senate Democrats indicated today that they intend to introduce their own version of the package next week, likely in an effort to take away steam from what, from an optics standpoint, looks like a Republican legislative win.

And in the Senate it did die.

But the Fed does not set mortgage lending criteria. The Fed sets rates.

But in your original post you blamed Bush.

I honestly don't see how Bush singlehandedly crashed the economy.

Loose mortgage standards to get poor people owning homes led to the housing crash.
Repeal of Glass-Steagall let commercial banks dice and slice mortgages and put them up for sale as complex instruments.
The rating agencies and SEC allowed AAA stamps to be put on these highly risky "junk" investments.

And you think Bush did this all by himself ?
The partial repeal of Repeal of Glass-Steagall?? That's a symptom anyway, after the fact of Congress bypassing the free market. Loans to people who didn't qualify AND those loans were little to no money down. Even in stable times there were very little of those types of loans.
plus
Bear Stearns
Merrill Lynch
AIG
Goldman Sachs
Lehman Brothers
WAMU
Wachovia
Countrywide Financial

none of those combined commercial with investment banking and they all went down

Considering that's about the only thing the goofballs in Congress have done right in years, it is still rather sad, but - hey - even a stopped clock is right twice a day. No doubt the economy would be far worse had this bill not passed. Now, if Congress would get off their rears and start actually addressing the bigger issues plaguing this nation, we might make some more progress.

It only passed the House. It died in the Senate.

Kind of tough when everything dies in the Senate.

Way back early on, 0bama once blamed Bush. For something. Who knows what! That's all the minions heard. It became their never-ending mantra.

It would be funny if it weren't such a sad indictment of their IQ.

Bush has a good sense of humor. I can picture him snickering at all of this nonsense.

From what I understand he has a lot of regret concerning what happened under his watch and he isn't likely snickering.
