Again, aside from the nonsensical conspiracy-mongering, this is confusing "walkability" with "density". Cul-de-sac neighborhoods on highway exits down the road from the shopping mall are not necessarily less dense than a pre-war streetcar suburb with sidewalks and an accessible, thriving downtown commercial district.

Well then, I guess it's a good thing we've been sticking it to the banks and real estate developers with all this suburban sprawl the last couple decades!
Agenda 21 is not a conspiracy theory .... it is published information.

You might want to do a little more reading and a little less typing. You might learn something.

So in other words, you have no idea what you are talking about beyond what Hollywood tells you NYC is like. When was the last time you took a walk through Park Slope? If you had done that then you would know what I am talking about.

Funny thing about that list of yours, all of those things happen in non-urban places as well.

Agenda 21 is a non-binding, voluntarily implemented action plan....the conspiracy theory comes when people think it is something more than that. You might want to listen to your own advice and learn more about Agenda 21 rather than believe everything conspiracy theory sites tell you what Agenda 21 is.

The answer is it depends. There is a lot of factors that go into which resources are needed, and what is being done to conserve and reuse. Both can be damaging and both can reduce the need for resources. Though green grass lawns are nothing but wasteful.

and NYC has an ultra low murder rate per capita for large cities.

With just 1/14th NYC's population, Nashville had, in 2013, 1/8th its quantity of murders, making Nashville more dangerous than NYC. Bear in mind, Nashville is one of the safest Southeastern cities, and still, it was statistically less safe than NYC.

Nashville murders per capita was approx 6.4 in 2013 and NYC was approx 4.0. bobtn, what are the rates per capita when it comes to the other crimes you left out, i.e, "rape", "robbery", murder, "gang violence", "prostitution"?

The rational part of my personality does not want to mow anything he cannot bale and sell. The nasty paranoid part wants a 2,000 yard clear field of fire from the house to the fence row. Neither of them have the money for the farm with the house on the hill. So what else is new?

As if you're going to be attentively manning the pillbox when the Redcoats come, instead of reading a book or watching TV or eating dinner or whatever. I wouldn't worry about that one.

Urban areas tend to be more wealthy and educated today. High paying white collar tech jobs are mostly in the inner core of cities and young people rather have a short hop to work. Rural areas are great to retire too but they have little to offer someone young and educated. Someone who has spent their entire life in a rural area and has little idea what goes on outside naturally tend to be conservative.
